This is a direct replacement for the crossmember located forward of the rear axle that supports the rear end of the gas tank. Detailed installation instructions are included.
Our crossmembers are made from Heavy Gauge steel (11Gauge) and are bent just like the Original
Pre-welded on the crossmember are the driver side is the inside frame mounting plate, the passenger side upper shock mount, the fuel tank strap hanger bracket, and the fuel tank strap mounting bracket with new bolt included. The two outer frame plates and passenger side inner frame mount plate, and 2 crossmember end caps are sent loose for ease of installation onto your frame!
This replacement crossmember was designed with the do it yourself installer in mind. No need to remove the truck bed, just remove the old shock, remove the fuel tank (always a good idea when welding on a frame!) cut the remaining crossmember out of the frame, then slide the replacement crossmember in place, weld it solid, and reinstall your tank and new shocks.
